DSN (Decentralized Social Network) EyeContact application does not collect any personal data on a central server, nor does it collect users' personal data. Data is not stored anywhere except on the user's phone. In compliance with EU data storage regulations — specifically Regulation (EU) 2016/679, known as the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) — no data is retained by the app creators; data is held only by users on their own devices.
The only way the application collects data is locally on the device, and the user configures which data they want to share and compare with others. The app uses Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) technology to transmit data to nearby users. Users are notified if a match with compatible parameters is found. Encryption is used.
Because there are no central servers and no data harvesting, the developer does not collect, store, process, or share any personal information. Users may stop all data broadcasting at any time by closing the app or disabling Bluetooth, and may remove all locally stored data by uninstalling the application.
DSN EyeContact is a social-discovery application intended for adults. It is rated 12+ / Parental Guidance Recommended on Google Play and is not designed for, targeted at, or marketed to children. The app contains no central server, no chat content hosting, no media upload, and no data collection; it only broadcasts and detects user-configured Bluetooth signals locally. The app does not facilitate contact with or the exploitation of minors, and we have designed it so that it cannot be used to harm children.

Upon receiving a credible report, we will review it, take appropriate action (including removing offending users where technically possible and cooperating with law enforcement), and, where required, report the matter to NCMEC and the competent authorities.
